Outline planning permission is being sought by David Lock Associates and Hallam Land Management to build ca. 3,100 new homes on the land between Bucknell and Bicester.
This is a new application that appears to be larger in scope than the previous “eco-town” proposals - it is now proposed to be even closer to Bucknell.
The Outline Planning Application is now with Cherwell District Council. It can be found at this site: https://planningregister.cherwell.gov.uk/Planning/Display/21/04275/OUT
The closing date for comments is currently set as 10 February.
There are currently 3 objections lodged - 1 from a resident in Bicester relating to a junction that will be built close to their property and 2 from Bucknell residents.
The Parish Council has requested an extension to the deadline - namely because we have requested a true consultation from the developers; we have asked for this to be done in the village - and then to have a 4 week period from that date for any representations to be made. As of yet, Cherwell District Council’s response has not been favourable to this request for an extension and we do not yet have any proposed dates for a consultation.
Therefore, if you wish to make your views about the planning application known, please do not wait - assume that the deadline is 10 February.
Comments can be made on-line through the planning portal, by email or by letter to Cherwell.
